Paradise Honey 10-Frame Langstroth Hive Floor
This Paradise Honey 10-Frame Langstroth Hive Floor is manufactured from high-density polystyrene (EPS) and is designed for use within the Paradise Langstroth hive system. It is supplied with an aluminium varroa mesh, which is resistant to oxalic, formic, and other acid-based varroa treatments. The mesh is securely fixed using stainless steel screws.
Slots beneath the floor allow a compatible varroa tray (available separately) to be slid in and out easily for monitoring, while holding it firmly in place when fitted.
General guidance suggests that the varroa tray is usually left out for most of the year, with insertion typically limited to short periods of monitoring or when temporarily housing a swarm. In colder conditions, some beekeepers may choose to insert the tray briefly in early spring to support colony build-up, removing it again as soon as conditions allow.
