Standard Langstroth Poly Nucleus Hive
This Paradise Honey 6-Frame Langstroth Nucleus Hive is manufactured from high-density polystyrene (EPS) and is designed as a complete, self-contained nuc system. The nuc is constructed with a separate floor, varroa mesh, hive body, and roof, all of which interlock to provide a secure and robust structure.
The lightweight yet durable poly construction offers good insulation and ease of handling, making it suitable for a range of nuc applications throughout the beekeeping season.
Designed and manufactured by Paradise Honey, this nuc is intended for use with standard Langstroth deep (brood) frames at 232 mm deep.

The nuc features a hard plastic frame ledge to support the frames and help protect the polystyrene during inspections and propolis removal, contributing to long service life. Supplied flat-packed, it is easy to assemble and comes with full instructions.
A key feature of this nuc is the option to divide it into two 3-frame nucleus hives using a central division board (available separately). The floor includes entrances at both ends, allowing flexible configuration. In standard use, one entrance can be closed while the other is reduced to suit colony strength.
As with Paradise Honey hives, the roof is reversible. When used with a cut-down propolis screen (available separately), the nuc can be prepared for transport, allowing ventilation through the varroa floor and screen to help prevent overheating.
