Paradise Honey 10-Frame Langstroth Varroa Tray
This Paradise Honey 10-Frame Langstroth Varroa Tray is manufactured from durable plastic and is designed to slide into the slots beneath the Paradise Langstroth hive floor. It provides a practical way to monitor natural varroa drop when required.
With polystyrene hives, the varroa tray is typically used for short periods only for monitoring purposes. For most of the year, including winter, it is generally left out to allow increased ventilation.
In some situations, the tray may be temporarily fitted, such as in early spring to support colony build-up or when housing a swarm to help darken the interior of the hive. Once these conditions have passed, the tray should be removed again.
