National Snuggle Board
Developed by Kevin and Wendy Potts, the Snuggle Board is a simple yet effective solution for insulating your hive from the bottom. Manufactured from pine, it has been tried and tested in practical use and is particularly beneficial for National hives during winter, when conditions are often damp and wet.
The Snuggle Board is designed to be used with standard hive stands and open mesh floors. The open mesh floor should be left in place above the Snuggle Board to maintain essential airflow, while the board helps reduce the effects of cold and damp air entering the hive from below.
This design supports improved winter conditions within the hive without compromising ventilation, helping to maintain colony comfort during challenging weather.
