Product Description
The ApiNord 9/3 Frame Electric Radial & Tangential Honey Extractor is designed to provide beekeepers with a reliable and efficient solution for extracting honey from a variety of frame types. Combining electric operation with a versatile dual-purpose extraction basket, this extractor offers excellent flexibility for beekeepers using different hive systems.
In radial mode, the extractor accommodates up to 9 shallow honey frames measuring a maximum of 185mm in height. This makes it suitable for shallow frames from a range of popular hive systems, including National, Zander, Langstroth, Dadant US and Dadant Blatt, provided the frames fit within the specified dimensions.
For greater versatility, the extractor can also be used in tangential mode by fitting the three supplied suspension grids. This allows up to 3 deeper frames, measuring a maximum of 305mm in height, to be extracted. Tangential operation is particularly useful for larger frames, including compatible Dadant US and Dadant Blatt frames.
Powered by a 230V, 110W top-mounted electric motor, the ApiNord extractor features continuously adjustable speed control, allowing beekeepers to regulate the extraction speed to suit the frames and honey being processed. This provides greater control during extraction and helps reduce the risk of damaging delicate comb.
The extractor also features an integrated safety switch, providing an additional level of protection during operation.
One of its standout features is the seamless sloping base, which is fully inclined towards the stainless steel honey gate. This allows extracted honey to flow efficiently towards the outlet, reducing the amount of honey left behind and minimising waste.
The stainless steel pinch tap is positioned flush with the base, with an outlet height of approximately 39.5cm, allowing honey to be conveniently collected in a suitable bucket or container.
For ease of use, the extractor is fitted with a hinged lid that opens widely, providing convenient access when loading and unloading frames. Its sturdy three-legged construction provides a stable platform during extraction, even when processing heavier frames.
With a drum diameter of 52cm and an overall height of approximately 120cm, the ApiNord 9/3 Frame Honey Extractor offers a practical combination of capacity, versatility and compact design.
Whether you're extracting honey from National shallow frames or larger Dadant frames, this electric honey extractor provides a flexible and dependable solution for efficient honey harvesting.

Please Note
This honey extractor has a maximum capacity of 9 shallow frames in radial mode or 3 deeper frames in tangential mode. It cannot accommodate 9 deep frames simultaneously.
Maximum frame heights are 185mm for radial extraction and 305mm for tangential extraction. Always check the complete dimensions of your frames before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
The three suspension grids required for tangential extraction are included with the machine.
When extracting honey from newly drawn or delicate comb, begin at a lower speed and gradually increase the extraction speed to help prevent damage to the honeycomb.
For best results, distribute frames evenly within the extraction basket to maintain balance and reduce vibration during operation.
Always ensure the extractor is positioned on a stable, level surface before use. Never open the lid or attempt to access the extraction basket while the machine is running.
Clean all honey-contact surfaces thoroughly before first use and after each extraction session, following the manufacturer's operating and cleaning instructions.
